When Prudential Northwest Properties real estate broker Beth Keyser heard about a local family whose home was burglarized shortly after they moved to Newberg, she jumped into action and organized a drive to help replace the items stolen.

The family had moved from New Jersey shortly after the father lost his job as a police officer and the mother lost her job as a county employee. Their youngest child has expensive medical needs, so Beth felt, “we can’t over bless them.” Word spread quickly throughout Newberg and local churches and strangers at the grocery store started donating … Santa even came into the picture and delivered a bag of goodies for the kids that filled up their whole living room with presents!

“That’s what Christmas is all about,” says Keyser, “it’s about helping and loving and sharing. My family has enough.”

Beth, thank you for making such a difference in the lives of this family, and for organizing such a wonderful community wide giving effort. You make us all very proud.

Happy holidays to all!
