PORTLAND METRO EVENTS WEEKEND PLANNER

ODYSSEO
Through August 28 – Larger than life horse show marrying the equestrian arts, stage arts and high tech theatrical effects at never-before-seen levels.

BANKS BBQ TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL
FRI-SUN – This fun-filled weekend starts off with a Texas Hold’em tournament Friday evening, pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, car show, tractor & truck pull, parade, live music and so much more.

DOLL & TEDDY BEAR SHOW
SAT – The sales floor will be filled with fine exhibitors that will be showing dolls, bears, miniatures, supplies, books, and accessories from antique to modern. Enjoy a great selection of dealers with wigs, clothes, and supplies—be sure to bring any doll or teddy bear that needs to be repaired or embellished.

FOREST GROVE UNCORKED
SAT – Features Oregon’s abundance of fine wineries, micro-brew beer, spirits, skillfully crafted food, fine arts, and local music talent.

SUNDAY PARKWAYS 2016
SUN – Spend a warm summer day walking, strolling, and rolling around the Southeast Sunday Parkways. This route will take you on a tour of Laurelhurst, Sewallcrest, Colonel Summers and Ivon Parks to grab a bite to eat, listen to tunes, and join some activities.

PORTLAND SPIRIT SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Fridays through Sept 30 – Start the weekend early with a one-of-a-kind summer concert cruise series featuring a different local band every week! Includes a two-hour cruise and live entertainment. Bistro style menu and beverages from our full service bars available for purchase on board.

TONY STARLIGHT SHOWROOM
Through Sept 16 – Portland’s premiere dinner and show venue and is the closest thing to a Vegas show in Portland. A truly memorable dinner and show experience, one that you will want to share with friends and family.

FLICKS ON THE BRICKS

Through FRI August 19 – Pioneer Courthouse Square transforms into Portland’s largest outdoor movie theater for the entire community to enjoy!

Through August 28 – A film festival starring two famous stars that carried on a bitter feud throughout their careers, which became fodder for unending gossip and legendary Hollywood lore.

TOP DOWN: ROOFTOP CINEMA
Through August 25 – Join us atop the Hotel deLuxe’s parking structure at SW 15th and Yamhill for our 12th annual program of cinema under the stars.

CONCERTS IN THE PARK
Through August 28 – Pack a picnic dinner or dine with our vendors, bring a blanket or chairs, and spend time with family and friends at a live outdoor concert performance.

MOVIES IN THE PARK
Through September 10 – Pre-movie entertainment begins at 6:30 PM, including live performances by local musicians and free popcorn. Bring jackets or extra blankets, as it gets chilly when the sun goes down!

OREGON ZOO SUMMER CONCERTS
Through September 11  Oregon’s “wildest” outdoor concert series celebrates 37 years of bringing you world-class artists for a night of music and nature. It wouldn’t be summer in Oregon without an evening of great music at the zoo!

PORTLAND SATURDAY MARKET
SAT-SUN through December – The nation’s largest weekly open-air arts and crafts market. Stroll down row upon row of unique creations made by the people who sell them in Old Town.

URBAN SCAVENGER HUNT
ALL MONTH  Smartphone clues lead you on a fun & engaging walking tour of the city. Clues start you in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and will take you on a scavenger hunt through the Arts District, on a streetcar ride and among the famous food carts.

SHANROCK’S TRIVIOLOGY
ALL MONTH – Various Portland Locations: Triviology pub quizzes are free to play, last a couple of hours, and are composed of seven short rounds, giving teams instant gratification for their efforts. Team size can range from one to five players, with prizes for everyone on the winning team.

COLUMBIA RIVER TRIATHLON & FESTIVAL
FRI-SUN – There’s something for everyone at this festival—a triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, women’s triathlon/duathlon/aquabike, 5k & 10k runs, kid’s triathlon and so much more! Enjoy the scenic views of the Columbia River, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and Vancouver Lake.

COLUMBIA RIVER FALL SALMON DERBY
