OREGON STATE FAIR
Through September 5 – Concerts, nightly laser light shows, animals, carnival rides and games, great entertainment, food and drink. Something fun for everyone!!
INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER: MALALA YOUSAFZAITUES August 30 – You’ve seen her on the news, and now you can hear Malala Yousafzai, the girl who was shot by the Taliban and won a Nobel Prize fighting for the education of women. Moda Center.
HAWTHORNE STREET FAIRSUN – Hawthorne Street Fair has vendors, family activities, beer gardens, and live music on the sidewalks of SE Hawthorne Blvd., mostly from 31st to 41st. Free.
THURS-SUN – Two-day festival at Portland’s Waterfront Park. Enjoy great music—everything from Duran Duran to Ice Cube. 21 & over. Check out the line up!
OREGON BLUEGRASS ASSOCIATION PICKER’S FEST
FRI-SUN – Bring your mandolin, guitar, fiddle, dobro, ukulele or whatever makes great bluegrass music! Or just enjoy the music, the mountain, and the people at Zigzag Mountain Farm.
ORGANIC BEER FEST
FRI-SUN – Serving up more than 50 organic beers, ciders and mead along with live music, food, sustainability-oriented vendors, non-profits and a children’s area. All in a beautiful park overlooking Northwest Portland.
ITALIAN FESTIVALFRI-SUN – Festa Italiana offers live music, pizza tossing, grape stomping, Italian food, a wine and beer garden, and vendors in Pioneer Courthouse Square. Free entry.
BOUNTY OF YAMHILL COUNTY
FRI-SUN – In the Top 10 Best Food Festivals by USA Today & The Culture Trip. Partnered with chefs, vintners and farms throughout the Willamette Valley. Proceeds benefit the Yamhill Enrichment Society.
Through SUN – Larger than life horse show marrying the equestrian arts, stage arts and high tech theatrical effects at never-before-seen levels.
PORTLAND SPIRIT SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Fridays through Sept 30 – Start the weekend early with a one-of-a-kind summer concert cruise series featuring a different local band every week! Includes a two-hour cruise and live entertainment. Bistro style menu and beverages from our full service bars available for purchase on board.
TONY STARLIGHT SHOWROOM
Through Sept 16 – Portland’s premiere dinner and show venue and is the closest thing to a Vegas show in Portland. A truly memorable dinner and show experience, one that you will want to share with friends and family.

OREGON ZOO SUMMER CONCERTS
Through September 11 – Oregon’s “wildest” outdoor concert series celebrates 37 years of bringing you world-class artists for a night of music and nature. It wouldn’t be summer in Oregon without an evening of great music at the zoo!
PORTLAND SATURDAY MARKET
SAT-SUN through December – The nation’s largest weekly open-air arts and crafts market. Stroll down row upon row of unique creations made by the people who sell them in Old Town.
URBAN SCAVENGER HUNT
ALL MONTH – Smartphone clues lead you on a fun & engaging walking tour of the city. Clues start you in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and will take you on a scavenger hunt through the Arts District, on a streetcar ride and among the famous food carts.
ALL MONTH – Various Portland Locations: Triviology pub quizzes are free to play, last a couple of hours, and are composed of seven short rounds, giving teams instant gratification for their efforts. Team size can range from one to five players, with prizes for everyone on the winning team.

FARMER’S MARKET – DOWNTOWN
SAT-SUN (through October 30) – Vancouver’s Farmer’s Market. Over 250 vendors with fresh and local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods and much more at 6th & Ester in downtown Vancouver.
