CITY FAIR
Through June 12 Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The second weekend of CityFair is jam-packed with live music, along with A Walk on the Wild Side exotic animals, arts and crafts in the Kids Zone, and cool artifacts in the Rose Festival Museum – all FREE with CityFair admission.
GREEN LIVING FAIR
SAT-SUN Learn about sustainable lifestyles, renewable energy, organic gardening, small-scale farming, and green construction at Mother Earth News Fair in Albany.
COMEDY FESTIVAL
WED-SUN Bridgetown Comedy Festival showcases hilarious local and nationally known comedians in bars and theaters in the East Burnside area.

BUDDHIST FESTIVAL
SAT Hear 108 bells ring at noon to open the Portland Buddhist Festival, which features workshops, speakers, singing, dance, and a kids’ area at Colonel Summers Park. Free.
USED BOOK FAIR
Through June 12 DoubleTree Hotel at Lloyd Center. Browse thousands of independent booksellers’ books at the Rose City Book & Paper Fair. $3 admission.
BERRIES, BREWS & BBQs
Weekends Through June 19 Enjoy strawberries, craft beer and wine, live music, hayrides, and farm animals at Berries, Brews & BBQs at French Prairie Gardens in St. Paul. 32 miles south of Portland.
METEORITE & FAMILY FUN DAY
SAT Meteorite and Family Fun Day includes cutting open geodes, kids’ games, scavenger hunts, and talks by a meteorite expert at the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals in Hillsboro.
KID’S RODEO
SAT-SUN Watch children perform barrel racing, goat tying, bareback and saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, calf riding, and more at the Youth Rodeo. Free.
MODERN HOME TOUR

SCRAPBOOKING CONVENTION
FRI-SAT Oregon Convention Center. Learn new scrapbooking techniques at one of the many classes that will be taught at this year’s scrapbook convention.
AFRO-CARIBBEAN BAND
FRI Grammy-nominated Afro-Caribbean music group Tiempo Libre plays “dance music of sophistication and abandon” at Newmark Theatre. Discount tickets $16.
STARLIGHT PARADE & RUN
SAT Join 325,000 spectators at the 8:30 p.m. Starlight Parade, or wear a costume and run past them in the Starlight Run 5K that begins at Lincoln High School track.
JAW DROPPING COMEDY

HAUNTED PUB TOUR
ALL MONTH This spine-tingling ghost tour explores Portland’s historic Old Town District, a vibrant area with beautiful 1800’s buildings, cobblestone streets and a wicked past.
SHANROCK’S TRIVIOLOGY
ALL MONTH Various Portland Locations: Triviology pub quizzes are free to play, last a couple of hours, and are composed of seven short rounds, giving teams instant gratification for their efforts. Team size can range from one to five players, with prizes for everyone on the winning team.
GEEKS WHO DRINK PUB QUIZ
ALL MONTH Anyone can grab a deck of Trivial Pursuit cards and run a “trivia night.” Geeks Who Drink’s smartass quizmasters run fast-paced, interactive and beer-soaked pub quiz events all over Portland.

HUMANE SOCIETY DOG WALK
SAT Hike on the Dike offers food, music, K9 demos, a 2.77 mile walk, a 5k run, or a 10k run along the Columbia River in Washougal, WA to aid the Humane Society.
FARMER’S MARKET
SAT-SUN (through OCT 30) Vancouver’s Farmer’s Market. Over 250 vendors with fresh and local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods and much more!
OPEN SATURDAY AT PEARSON AIRBASE
SAT Free educational experience, Flight Simulator lab, vertical wind tunnel, a glider-building station, historic airplanes on-site for viewing, collections on display, and educational programs to propel students of all ages.
RACE FOR THE KIDS
