THURS-SUN – Traditional dancers, live music, sports, car show, race, golf tournament and so much more!!
5K COLOR RUN
SAT – Wear a white shirt and get bombarded by handfuls of colored cornstarch as you run the Color Run 5K at Portland International Raceway.
TRY VEGAN WEEK + PROM
SAT through September 24 – Try Vegan Week includes free workshops, speakers, dine-outs, and mentoring. It ends in a vegan prom night of dancing, raffles, food, and costumes. See schedule here.
SIDEWALK CHALK ART FESTIVAL
SAT – Create your masterpiece on a sidewalk in downtown Forest Grove, or admire hundreds of others’ works at Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival.
FALL RV & VAN SHOW
THURS-SUN – Over 20 dealers with the newest trailers and campers on the market. If you can’t find it here, you won’t be able to find it anywhere!
CRUISE TO HISTORIC DOWNTOWN OREGON CITY
SAT – 7th annual event expanded to accommodate over 600 cars!!
OREGON INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL
Through September 24 – Collection of the best in new independent films of Oregon this fall.
BENDING THE BARD: CINEMATIC TWISTS ON SHAKESPEARE
Through October 30th – Seventeen “unconventional” cinematic adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays. Freed from restrictions of a certain time, location, or even language, the filmmakers in this series have created works that both reflect and transcend their immediate cultural origins.
TIME BASED ART FESTIVAL
Through SUN – Contemporary art projects that bring artists and audiences together, creating a vibrant community through live performances, music, screenings, workshops, talks, and visual art installations.
PORTLAND SPIRIT SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Fridays through Sept 30 – Start the weekend early with a one-of-a-kind summer concert cruise series featuring a different local band every week! Includes a two-hour cruise and live entertainment. Bistro style menu and beverages from our full service bars available for purchase on board.
TONY STARLIGHT SHOWROOM
Through FRI – Portland’s premiere dinner and show venue and is the closest thing to a Vegas show in Portland. A truly memorable dinner and show experience, one that you will want to share with friends and family.
PORTLAND SATURDAY MARKET
SAT-SUN through December – The nation’s largest weekly open-air arts and crafts market. Stroll down row upon row of unique creations made by the people who sell them in Old Town.
URBAN SCAVENGER HUNT
ALL MONTH – Smartphone clues lead you on a fun & engaging walking tour of the city. Clues start you in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and will take you on a scavenger hunt through the Arts District, on a streetcar ride and among the famous food carts.
ALL MONTH – Various Portland Locations: Triviology pub quizzes are free to play, last a couple of hours, and are composed of seven short rounds, giving teams instant gratification for their efforts. Team size can range from one to five players, with prizes for everyone on the winning team.
VANCOUVER METRO EVENTS
SAT – 20th anniversary celebration as the Water Resources Education Center recognizes sturgeon and Columbia River ecosystems with a community festival.
FARMER’S MARKET – DOWNTOWN
SAT-SUN (through October 30) – Vancouver’s Farmer’s Market. Over 250 vendors with fresh and local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods and much more at 6th & Ester in downtown Vancouver.
OPEN SATURDAYS AT PEARSON AIRBASE
EVERY SAT – Free educational experience, Flight Simulator lab, vertical wind tunnel, a glider-building station, historic airplanes on-site for viewing, collections on display, and educational programs to propel students of all ages.
