ADULT SOAPBOX DERBY
SAT Watch as 40+ teams of racers fly down a course in hand-built devices, all powered by a single push at the start line.

BEATLES CELEBRATION
FRI – Head to the Alberta Rose Theatre where the Nowhere Band presents: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The second set features songs by The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Byrds, Kinks and more!

PORTLAND THORNS
SAT – Watch an intense match as Portland’s Women’s Soccer goes head-to-head against the Chicago Red Stars.

HOMEOWNER’S SHOW
FRI-SUN – Portland’s Renovation and Landscaping Show allows you to view all the latest trends from everything inside the home to the exterior and landscaping. 

BIGFOOT FESTIVAL
SAT – Celebrate the urban legend at the Oregon Bigfoot Festival, with exhibits, presentations, food carts and more!

DISTILLERY TASTING
SUN – Meet the makers of locally crafted spirits at the Summer Spirits Festival.

BIKE SHOW
SAT-SUN – Features live music with food and drink vendors, as well as bike and frame part builders.

FAMILY MUSICAL
THROUGH AUG 25TH – See everyone’s favorite red-headed orphan, Annie at Clackamas Repertory Theatre.

BEAUTIES WHO BRUNCH
SUN – Engage in an experience of beauty and fashion. Interact with beauty professionals while enjoying a mimosa brunch.

BANKS BBQ & TRACTOR PULL
FRI-SUN – Friday night features a hamburger stand and beer garden with a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. Saturday hosts a pancake breakfast with a car show, and tractor pull while Sunday boasts a pancake breakfast, church service, parade, BBQ and tractor & truck pull. All proceeds go to the maintenance and upkeep of Sunset Park and benefit the community and youth of Banks.

PDX APPLE RECYCLING
THROUGH OCT 31 – Does your apple tree overproduce? Donate your edible backyard apples to PDX Apple Recycling to support Oregon conservation. If you bring in 40lbs, you’ll get to take a free pint of cider home with you!

URBAN SCAVENGER HUNT
ALL MONTH – Smart Phone clues lead you on a fun & engaging walking tour of the city. Start in the heart of downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square and go on a journey through the Arts District, on a streetcar ride and through the famous food carts.

BEAVERTON NIGHT MARKET
ALL MONTH – Join the family friendly event with ethnic food and crafts as well as performers celebrating from around the world.

HOOD RIVER COUNTY
ALL MONTH – Celebrate the Fruit Loop Summer Harvest Celebration with fresh pies, apples, berries, flowers and more! This weekend features the Sunflower Festival.

VANCOUVER METRO EVENTS

READING IN THE WILD
FRI-SAT – Join the City of Vancouver’s water resources education center for a story and nature series in nature, this program connects fun stories with nature activities.

HOOPS 360
FRI-SUN – Get a team together and enter in the Slam Dunk contest! Free kids basketball clinic and basketball movies at the Liberty theater. Shopping, wine and local food by the river with live music.

CHELATCHIE PRARIE RAILROAD
SAT-SUN – Witness the steam train robbery special at the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. Be a part of the action as “robbers” stop the train, will the sheriff arrive in time to capture them? The compromised train will make a stop at Moulton Station to view Yacolt Falls.

SPIRIT TALES OF THE VANCOUVER BARRACKS
THROUGH OCT 27 – Service members, their families, and many others, walked its grounds, leaving behind many memories. Memories of loneliness, fear and tragedy, all part of the darker aspects of military life. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, you will be interested in these stories of the Vancouver Barracks’ past residents.

VANCOUVER FARMERS MARKET
THROUGH OCT 28 – Home to over 250 vendors with fresh and local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, delicious food, pet treats, and accessories for yourself, home, or garden.

WILD THINGS: THE POWER OF NATURE IN OUR LIVES
THROUGH SEPT 2019 – The Museum of Vancouver and Nature Vancouver present the exhibition Wild Things: The Power of Nature in Our Lives. Dives into life stories of local plants and animals and how they relate to each other and how they connect people to nature in the city.
